Our sales ratio of buggies vs atvs are 20-1, and for we believe several good reasons. Most of what is written below is for making a decision for a younger rider. For adult riders, check out our 150-250 class machines. Thanks for taking the time to read this text, we hope it helps.
- SAFETY! First, let's get something straight. Atv's are perfectly safe when used correctly. However, for a first time user, an advanced kart/buggy has many advantages. You sit IN the unit, not on top of it, surrounded by a protective framework, securely held in place with three-point seatbelts. You don't have any of the above on an atv. You're totally exposed.
- Designed for two riders. Atv's aren't. Something to think about for families with more than one child, or for mom and dad who want to play too!
- VALUE. With adjustable seats, factory governor systems, these machines fit a variety of ages and sizes, from young children to adults. The machine has the ability to grow with the rider for several years. You can't do this with a quad! Buy the appropiate atv for your kid, and they quickly outgrow it's capabilities. You may go through 2-3 different atv's as your child matures. OR buy just ONE of our buggies. This ability saves you a considerable sum of money, both short and long-term.
- PRICE! A reliable name-brand kid's atv will cost you approx 2100-2500. The Chinese knockoffs atvs? Do your research, they're not much of an option. Now check our price for a Hammerhead dune buggy!
- RESALE VALUE. Hammerhead is a respected brand name, and account for the majority of the market for dune-buggies/karts. They generally retain their value very well vs atv's.
